No bills passed by the North Car0lina general Assembly were signed by Governor Perdue on Wednesday July 28 or Thursday, July 29, 2010, days 18 & 19 of 30 allowed for action.

As of Thursday, July 29, she had signed 75 of the 109 (69%)  that were on her desk at the end of the session.

Under Article II, Section 22 of the Constitution, the Governor has 30 days after adjournment to act on all pending bills, with July 11 being day one.   The 30-day period concludes at midnight, Monday, August 9, 2010.  Any bills not acted on by the deadline become law on Tuesday, August 10, 2010. Bills sent to the Governor prior to adjournment where the 10-day limit had not run out at adjournment have a new 30-day clock.

Governor Perdue has until midnight Monday, August 9 (30 days) to act on bills passed by the 2010 short session of the North Carolina General Assembly prior to its July 10 adjournment. This includes bills that had been presented prior to adjournment where the in-session 10 day limit applies but had not been signed by adjournment.
