As of Sunday, August 30, 2009 the 19th day of 30 for action, six bills remained on Governor Beverly Perdue’s desk out of the 108 that had been pending at the August 12, 2009 adjournment. A total of 102 bills (94% of the total) have been signed.

In 2007, at the August 2, 2007 adjournment 208 bills were on Governor Easley’s desk for action, as of day 19 of 30 for action, 133 bills still remained. A total of 75 bills had been signed by the nineteenth day, 36% of the total.

Governor Perdue began Wednesday, August 26 signing the 108 bills on her desk. We will process those, assign Session Law chapter numbers and post them to the web later this morning. The quickest way to find the newly signed bills will be to go here  and scroll to the bottom, newly signed bills will begin with SL 2009-471.  The list of bills on the Governor’s desk will still show those bills as unsigned until a few hours later. I will post a list of bills signed later today. We also expect a large number to be signed today and Friday.
